This upgrade allows MACL to evaluate procedures and train for both approach and area control. MACL will leverage the advanced SimCWP functionality developed jointly by Micro Nav and Frequentis Orthogon to further enhance the fidelity of the training solution. MACL can optimise the region's civil air traffic control quality through this high-fidelity ATC simulation solution.
Integrating the SimCWP with MACL's existing BEST Tower simulator will allow for the seamless flow of data between the approach and tower functions, further increasing the capabilities of procedure validations and advanced integrated unit training.
MACL will also benefit from Micro Nav's full suite of data preparation tools, allowing them to manage, maintain and adjust airspaces and scenarios in-house. This allows the customer to reduce costs and training time whilst optimising safety and efficiency through a more tailored platform.
Micro Nav Managing Director Greg Pile has said, "We are pleased to be part of MACL's vision to enhance safety in their region. We look forward to seeing them enjoy the training and operational benefits of their enhanced BEST ATC simulation capability."
